Ajahn Gavesako

Venerable Ajahn Mitsuo Gavesako is a senior monk and highly respected meditation teacher in the tradition of Venerable Ajahn Chah.

He was born in Japan and took ordination as a Theravadan Buddhist monk with Venerable Ajahn Chah in 1976.

Venerable Ajahn Gavesako is currently abbot of Sunantavanarama Buddhist Monastery in Kanchanburi Province, Thailand. He can speak fluent English and Thai.
