Bhante Sattharo

Bhikkhu Sattharo (Kevin) was born in Mildurra, Australia who as a lay person have tried many fields including becoming a chef, security guard and musician. He was in the music industry for a long time.

After reading a book on Buddhist teachings, he was compelled to search for the real practice. He used to go to Bodhikusuma to deepen his knowledge of Buddhism. In 2004, he went to Thailand to search for a good teacher to train him in the right path. Finally he found Ajahn Anan of Wat Marp Jun in Rayong, Thailand, one of Ajahn Chah branch monastery as his teacher and ordained under him. He is a happy and helpful person to everyone in the monastery. He is now one of Ajahn Anan personal attendance and translator.
