Bhante Uttamo
Bhikku Uttamo was born in Yogyakarta, Central Java in 13th November 1960 and found great interest in Buddhism when he was a teenager. This interest in Buddhism led him to be ordained as a novice in Jakarta in the year 1985 and took higher ordination the following year in Bangkok, Thailand.
Currently Venerable Bhikku Uttamo is the abbot of Samaggi Jaya Vihara which is situated in Blitar, Indonesia.
