FREE ADMISSION
LEVEL 1 - Exhibition Floor
Due to popular demand of our Forest Tradition Exhibition and for those who missed out on this the first time, we decided to extend the exhibition to the month of May.
Thailand's famous 'Forest Tradition' began in the 19th Century under the renowned Buddhist meditation master Ajahn Mun Bhuridatto. Ajahn Mun's strict and rigorous approach to training involved living in harsh jungles, forests and caves for the purpose of attaining the purification of the mind that the Buddha taught and encouraged.
Ajahn Mun became a teacher and spiritual guide to many great monks, spawning the creation of a great lineage of teachers that even today are admired and greatly respected.
Bodhikusuma is proud to host the first-ever Buddhist 'Forest Tradition' Seminar and Exhibition. The event is open FREE to the public, and we warmly welcome anyone that wants to know more about Buddhism's 'Forest Tradition' and to gain insights into this unique way of living and training.
Exhibition includes:
- An exhibition depicting the way of life of a forest monk.
- Fun children activities organised by the "Bodhikusuma Youth".
- Very sacred Buddhist Relics will put on display in the Exhibition.
- Many Forest Tradition books to read.
