Luang Por Arlongot
Luang Por Arlongot is known for his amazing projects. He has built a hospital for thousands of abandoned children of HIV parents. He also graduated with an Engineering degree at the Australian National University, Canberra. He then went back to Thailand and took higher ordination in 1982 and stayed in a cave for 2 years and wandered around the jungle for a few years. He has been invited to visit an Aids Hospital where one patient died in his arms.
After that first visit, he kept coming back to the hospital to guide everyone on how to die peacefully. Many of those same patients followed him back to his monastery. He had difficult time because the people do not give any foods or support his monastery anymore, so his parents have had to support him and his monastery. Finally, the King’s Mother heard about his project and supported him in opening a small hospital. Currently, he has 1300 abandoned children of HIV and almost 1000 HIV adults in his hospital.
