SATURDAY 20 APRIL 2024
10:00am – 2:00pm
Bodhisaddha Forest Monastery
The Centre will celebrate its 22nd Anniversary, as well as Bodhisaddha’s 12th anniversary. This is traditionally a time when we reflect on the years passed and rejoice with all the sacrifices and goodness made by the many. This is also a ceremony to receive blessings from the Triple Gem and encouraging each other to continue on this journey of the practice and spreading of the Dhamma.
There will also be the Conscecration Blessing Ceremony of the newly enshrined Arahanta Sivali Statue in the Sivali Lookout Area.
The ceremony will be led by Tan Chaokhun Maha Samai and special visiting monk, Luang Por Somchai. Luang Por Somchai is vice-abbot of Wat Marp Jan and has been ordained as a monk in the Thai forest tradition of Ven. Ajahn Chah for 48 years. He is a direct disciple of Ajahn Chah and has been living and practicing with Luang Por Anan Akincano since the beginning of Wat Marp Jan’s founding.
